I loved reading this! I am glad you are bringing your voice and wisdom to write about death. The print of hers you gave me has taken on a deeper texture for me. ❤️.
“ ….What she lived and could not live are being realigned inside my heart…”
Thank you very much Heather. It's quite remarkable to me that when I was writing this, those are the words that emerged out of nowhere, that most surprised and touched me.:
“ What she lived and could not live are being realigned inside my heart…”. What a mysterious relationship we have with our ancestors, and how full of restoration and emergence it can be.
Your writing touches my heart and brings joy A moving remembrance of your mum and how dying can bring new growth and possibilities. Being a part of a sangha helps hold us in our coming and going. Thank you for writing and sharing ❣️
Thank you Shayla, this is beautiful and timely as our community is grieving a kootenay legend... Dustin Sunflower, co founder of holy shoke culture shop and priducer if Fane of the Cosmos on Kootenay Coop radio. He died of ALS and yes it was sad and sudden..we all thought we had more time...he fell suddenly although thi is tragic it was his time and it was merciful as he did not have to choose MAID and when to go... bereived his 3 year old daughter and blessed community that adored/adore him. Always love gour shares.
Deep gratitude to youand many belssing on this beautiful day.
Thank you for letting me know dear Sandra. May you hold each well in this time of grieving Dustin and all that his generosity brought to your beautiful community over the years. It's wonderful to hear from you, even in the midst of this loss.
